COURSE INTRODUCTION
This Level 3 Diploma in Exercise Referral qualification is designed to provide learners with the knowledge to ensure safe and effective exercise programming for patients with a number of medical conditions and common reasons for referral onto a community-based exercise referral scheme.
This will allow you to be able to use exercise as an aid to managing chronic conditions such as arthritis, coronary heart disease (CHD) and high blood pressure.
You will also learn about the scope and boundaries as a practitioner and when to refer on.

Do I need any existing qualifications before enrolling?
Learners must hold either a Level 2 Certificate in Fitness Instructing (Gym/ Exercise to Music/Group or Aqua) or one of the following:
- Level 3 Certificate in Personal Training
- Level 3 Diploma in Instructing Pilates Matwork
- Level 3 Diploma in Teaching Yoga
What do I learn during the course?
Course Objectives
- To enable learners to design and agree a safe and effective programme for patients with a range of common referral conditions
- To enable learners to deliver, review and adopt a programme for patients with a range of common referral conditions
How long does this qualification take to complete?
This qualification has no time limit and can be completed at your own pace.
How will I be assessed?
This qualification is assessed by the following methods:
- Portfolio of Achievement (LAP)
- Observed Practical Assessment
- Multiple Choice Theory Exam (Depending on previous qualifications)
How much does the qualification cost?
This qualification can be paid by one of the following methods:
- Upfront via a single payment of £499
- Via a payment plan of 3 x £215 monthly instalments

Upon successful completion of your qualification and full payments received your certificates will be released.
